The second book in my Jerky Maker Book Series is called Ground Beef Jerky: 100 Easy Recipes for Great Tasting Beef Jerky Using Ground Beef. This is a recipe book filled with a hundred great tasting and unique ground beef jerky recipes.
100 Easy Recipes for Ground Beef Jerky
In this book, I build upon what you learned in Jerky Maker Series Book One, and focus on giving you a lot of recipes with very different flavors.
Beef jerky is actually quite a versatile food, and you can make it in a surprisingly large number of ways.
Using this big collection of recipes, you can teach yourself the versatility of beef jerky by making several different versions yourself.
This will begin to show you just how talented jerky can be, and just how many tastes you can create.
It’s not about smoke, soy, and Worcestershire alone anymore. Jerky can be so much more than that, and this book will show you how.
Brief Instructions Step by Step
Though this book does not contain as detailed of instructions as Ground Beef Jerky: How to Make Great Tasting Beef Jerky Using Ground Beef, it does contain a basic set of directions should get you through it.
If you need a little bit more help, take a look at how to make beef jerky with a dehydrator, and there is a nicely detailed set of directions right there for you.
Once you understand the basic process, all you need to do is apply that same process to any of the recipes in the book. Even though they range quite widely in flavor, it’s still the same basic process that gets the job done.
My Favorite Recipes
Without giving away too much, some of my favorite recipes in the book are:
- Carne Asada – Complete with Orange Juice, Soy Sauce, Jalapeno and Garlic.
- Guinness Beer Batter – My Take on Beer Batter with Guinness, Garlic, and Paprika.
- Honey Chipotle – With Real Honey, Chipotle Powder, and Black Pepper.
- Parmesan Cheese – Yes, with Actual Parmesan Cheese, Garlic, and Onion Powder.
- French Fried Jalapeno – Jerky with French Fried Jalapeno Straws in the Mix.
- Soy Molasses – A Classic Salty and Sweet Combination.
This is just a small sample of the recipes in the book, and there are 94 more to choose from!
What You Will Need
This book uses the same equipment that all the other books use, which is a dehydrator, a jerky gun, and a few common kitchen tools like bowls, measuring spoons, and gloves. That’s it.
You really can start making the best tasting jerky you have ever made with a couple pieces of inexpensive equipment, and common kitchen tools and spices.
After you get through this book, and you make a bunch of the recipes, there are several more books in the series, and they are all filled with excellent recipes for you to try.
If you want to get started right now, you can look through my jerky recipes and try a few before you buy a book. I know you will love them as much as I do.
Learning Through Recipe Making
One of the best ways to learn about making beef jerky is to make beef jerky. If you dedicate some time, once a week, you can make over 50 recipes over the course of a year, and in that time you will learn a lot about making jerky.
In fact, it’s not really about how long you have been making jerky. It’s about how many batches. That’s because with each batch, you learn something. With each run through the process, you get better, and with each new flavor, you find out more about your jerky making talents.
I encourage you to make a lot of my recipes, and then start making your own. You can even take mine and adjust them so they suit your particular taste better, and they will start becoming your recipes.
That’s the beauty of jerky making. You get to decide every aspect, so only use the ingredients you like, and don’t be afraid to make these recipes personal to your own taste.
Enjoy.
